Carrington MacDuffie is an award-winning voice actor, singer/songwriter, poet, and performing artist who has made a career of the spoken word. With a BA in English from Boston University, she has enjoyed a lifelong involvement in the book business, from mass market fiction to small literary presses, as editor, author, narrator, and publisher. She has narrated over 250 audiobooks, performed voiceover for national TV spots, and voiced endless characters and dialects in stories and video games. Clients range from Random House to the Smithsonian to World of Warcraft. MacDuffie’s versatility has earned her narration awards, international publication of articles and poetry, and broadcast of her spoken word.
In 2009 her audiobook/record album Many Things Invisible was honored with two Audie finalists. As a recording artist, she has since released five albums of original songs — I’m The One, Kiss Make Better, Rock Me to Mars, Crush on You, and Only an Angel — all received with delight and praise in the Europe and the U.S.
Her narration work has influenced her songwriting, and her singing has influenced her narration work, with a particularly mellifluous delivery, and genuine passion balanced with terrific vocal control.
